The CUBIC range offers high levels of performance and versatility with up-to-the-minute styling. This unusual blend of function and aesthetics maximises the appeal of CUBIC to manufacturers, retailers and end users alike.

The enclosures are designed for desk top, wall mounting and floor standing use. Safety-complaint carrying handles can be added and all desk top units have built-in tip-up feet to allow angled display. The enclosures are suitable for a wide variety of equipment type, standards and environmental conditions. They can be specified in many different configurations, making it viable to construct purpose-built units without blanking panels.

The key features of the range are compliance with IP55, variable EMC screening, integral earth bonding up to class 1, integral housing flexibility and rugged construction for maximum durability. A wide range of sizes are available from stock, covering heights from 3U to 21U and depths from 300mm to 500mm. However, thanks to CUBIC’s modular construction, requirements for other sizes can easily be met.

The CUBIC range of 19″ cases are available as desktop, wall mounting and tower cabinets.

DESK TOP

The Cubic Desk Top system is designed for applications such as test and instrumentation equipment, including technology used in-house for testing products in development or process.

WALL MOUNT

Cubic Wall Enclosures are designed for indoor and outdoor applications, where floor space is limited, or when wall-mounting would be beneficial. The encloses are suitable for a wide range of applications, including housing termination / patch panels for routing cabling within a communications / data network, or in more industrially orientated installations, for housing control equipment linked to continuous process machines.

TOWER

Cubic Tower Encloses are designed for use in offices, laboratories and other environments where floor space is at a premium. By utilising unused room under desks, tower units release valuable desktop space. They accept standard rack-mounting equipment in a variety of positions, and can easily be fitted with computers and peripheral equipment. By fitting castors, towers can easily be relocated, so they are ideal for test and shared equipment.

Upgradeable EMC screening

The EMC screening is achieved through gaskets fitted in-board of the IP seals. The level of screening can easily be increased by reducing the interval between each gasket, so finely tuned screening levels can be achieved.

Dust & Splashproofing to IP55

The range complies with IP55, with snugly fitting rattle-free covers that protect against dust penetration and water ingress.

Earthing up to Class 1

Cubic’s design provides impressive integral strength as well as highly efficient bonding. Specially designed corner joints allow full LVD approved earth bonding of the enclosure frame and cladding. Up to Class 1 bonding can be specified.

Transportability

Cubic enclosures feature excellent structural integrity tuned for maximum resistance to all forms of shock and vibration. For units that need to be transported, the Cubic range meets LVD requirements with a tough hinged carrying handle that takes full account of dynamic loading and safety. Users can be confident that the handle will not fracture even when subjected to four times the normal static load.

Variable depth mounting

Variable-position front and rear equipment amounting uprights, permit recess mounting, if required. Angle supports can be added to independently support heavier equipment. Solid or glass doors can be hung to left or right, top or bottom and with 180°opening for total access.
