CONNECTOR MOUNTING OPTIONS
Eurorack is designed for use with DIN41612 type connectors and motherboard/backplane mounting. Three types of subrack are available: TYPE 1 to accept DIN connectors directly; TYPE 2 to accept Motherboards; TYPE 3 which accepts both DIN connectors via add-on rails and Motherboards.
PCB SIZES FOR 6U SUBRACKS
6U Subracks will accept 233.34mm Eurocards vertically and will also accept PCB’s suitable for 3U subracks by fitting a subrack divider accessory kit. PCB depths are indicated in the table below.
SHOCK AND VIBRATION TESTING
Eurorack has been tested to BS 2011 part 2.1 Fc, which was applied to standard 3U and 6U full width subrack. These were loaded with 2kg and 12.5kg respectfully. Frequency range; 10Hz – 500Hz, amplitude; 0.35mm/5GN. The duration of the test being two hours in each of the three mutually perpendicular planes. Full test results are available on request.
